Employment Disputes

We provide legal advice and representation to both employers, and employers in workplace disputes and potential or actual dismissal situations.

When an employee, or employer, seeks our help in this type of case, work relations may have already been damaged to a grave extent.  One of the first things we will do is carefully examine all the legal and contractual documentation already in place, before finalising any advice we give, to help bring resolution to any dispute in the workplace, in a quick and cost-effective matter, to avoid the involvement of formal legal action, if at all possible.

We can advise you on the options available to try and resolve the situation and mend the employer-employee relationship (including include mediation, conciliation, and arbitration), in a quick and cost-effective manner, and to try and avoid formal legal action.

However, if having explored all options, and resolution is still not possible, we will advise on other methods open to you, such as a formal complaint to the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC), the Labour Court, and even Injunction proceedings in the Courts, to prevent termination of employment or some other fundamental breach of the employment contract.

Workplace Stress, Bullying and Harassment

We act for employees who have been medically diagnosed of mental injury as a result of stress, bullying or harassment in the workplace.  Very often, these employees wish to retain their jobs, but are worried about their health and mental wellbeing, but also the significant personal, professional, and financial costs at risk, and don’t know which way to turn.  We can advise you about your options in this situation.

Breach of Contract

We also represent clients in Court proceedings for Breach of the Employment Contract e.g., confidentiality, non-compete, post-termination, intellectual property, and post-termination restriction clauses where such situations arise.
